Mundane

Mundane

I sit on a black cushion to pray

White noise blasting from all directions

A telephone pole shooting sparks outside the window

Now I’m climbing up a five-story rocket-shaped slide

Nervously looking at the ground below

I’m trying to appreciate nature more

A bug-ravaged mushroom in the snow

A seagull flying off with a chicken finger

A monarch butterfly resting on a tombstone

Rust in the rain

Tears and laughter, laughter and tears

help me Lord

Amen
